According to Faraday's principle of electromagnetic induction, a pair of detection electrodes are installed on the pipe wall perpendicular to the axis of the measuring tube and the magnetic line of force, when the conductive liquid moves along the axis of the measuring tube, the conductive liquid cuts the magnetic line of force to produce an induced potential, this induced potential is detected by the two detection electrodes, and the numerical value of the size of the flow rate is proportional to the value of:

K - coefficient related to the magnetic field distribution and axial length;
B-magnetic induction strength;
V-mean flow rate of conductive liquid;
D - electrode spacing; (measuring tube diameter)
The sensor will sense the potential E as a flow signal, transmitted to the converter, amplified, transformed filter with a series of digital processing, with a backlit dot-matrix liquid crystal display instantaneous flow and cumulative flow. The converter has 4~20mA output, alarm output and frequency output, and is equipped with RS-485 and other communication interfaces, and supports HART and MODBUS protocols.
