The pH scale of a PH/ORP analyzer is generally divided into two basic properties: acid and base. Acid must have free hydrogen ions. Alkali must have free hydroxide ions. PH is the parameter that directly reacts hydrogen ions with hydroxide ions. If the number of hydrogen ions far exceeds that of hydroxide ions, the solution is acidic. If the number of hydroxide ions far exceeds that of hydrogen ions, the solution is alkaline. If the number of hydrogen ions is equal to the number of hydroxide ions, the solution is neutral.
