2. Measuring electrode


The electrode of the sensor is installed on the tube walls on both sides of the measuring tube perpendicular to the magnetic field. Its function is to lead out the potential signal (flow signal) generated by the cutting magnetic force line of the measured medium. Therefore, the electrode generally needs to be in direct contact with the measured medium. The electrode material is determined according to the corrosivity of the measured medium, but it must be a non-magnetic conductive material. At present, acid resistant stainless steel (1Cr18Ni9Ti) and molybdenum containing stainless steel (1cr18ni12mo2ti) are commonly used for general industrial water, wastewater flowmeter and weakly corrosive acid-base salt liquid, and the price is also low; Hastelloy (acid resistant nickel base alloy) B can be used in hydrochloric acid and other non oxidizing acids and non oxidizing salt liquids; Hastelloy C can be used in oxidizing acids, oxidizing salts and oxidants. Titanium, tantalum and platinum iridium alloys can also be used as electrode materials. These precious metals have good corrosion resistance. Titanium is resistant to seawater, various chlorides, hypochlorites, oxidizing acids, etc., but not reducing acids; Tantalum has similar corrosion resistance to glass. It can resist a wide range of chemical media except hydrofluoric acid, fuming phosphoric acid and alkali; Platinum iridium alloy has good corrosion resistance to various acids, alkalis and salt solutions, but there are also some chemical media that are not resistant to corrosion, which should be paid attention to in use. Precious metal electrodes are expensive, especially platinum iridium alloys.


3. Main material of electromagnetic flowmeter
