In industrial production, metal tube rotameter is commonly used in many fields. It is suitable for measuring the flow of medium with small diameter and low flow rate below DN200;

Some fault problems will be encountered on site. Treatment methods for metal flowmeter fault:


1. The main reason why the pointer of the metal tube rotameter stops at a certain position is that the float of the metal tube rotameter is stuck.


Usually, the metal tube float flowmeter opens the valve too fast in use, so that the float quickly hits the stopper upward, resulting in the deformation of the stopper and jamming the float. However, it does not rule out the jamming caused by the inconsistency between the center of the float guide rod and the stop ring. During operation, remove the instrument, remove the deformed stopper, reshape, and check whether it is concentric with the guide rod. If there is any difference, correct it, then install the float, push the float by hand, and feel that the float is unobstructed up and down. In addition, the metal tube float flowmeter must be installed vertically or horizontally without inclination, otherwise it is easy to cause meter jamming and error.


2. Pointer jitter of metal tube rotameter:


1、 Slight pointer jitter: generally caused by medium fluctuation. It can be overcome by increasing damping.


2、 Medium pointer jitter: generally caused by medium flow state. For gas, it is generally caused by the unstable working pressure of the medium. A device with stable pressure or flow can be used to overcome or increase the gas damping of metal tube float flow.


3、 Violent pointer jitter: it is mainly caused by medium pulsation, unstable air pressure or the inconsistency between the pressure, temperature and flow under the gas working state specified by the user and the actual state of the metal tube rotameter, resulting in the over range of the metal tube rotameter.


3. No current output.


First, check whether the wiring is correct.


Whether there is liquid crystal display. If there is no output, the output tube is mostly broken, and the circuit board needs to be replaced.


4. Calibration value is missing. Due to E2PROM failure, the instrument calibration data is lost, and there is no output current, so that the current remains unchanged. Method: the available data recovery operations.


There are no signs of live display.


Check whether the line connection is correct.


Check whether the power supply is normal.


Reinstall the LCD module to check whether the contacts are correct.


For multi wire power supply mode, check whether the terminal is connected to the ammeter or short circuit.


Wrong alarm.


Check that the deviation setting D cannot be too large.


2、 Whether the logic function is correct or not. Represents upper bound positive logic. La-a represents positive lower bound logic.


3、 Check the alarm setting.


If the LCD bar code indication is correct and the output has no action, you can check whether the external power supply and the negative pole of the external power supply are connected with the negative pole of the instrument.


If the circuit board fails, replace the circuit board.


The total field LCD display shows 0 or full screen.


Check the setting range, zero point parameters, etc. The value of zero is required to be less than span, and the two values cannot be equal.


Second, check whether the sampling data is on the shelf, and manually push the pointer to check the change of the sampling value. If there is no change, the sampling circuit of the circuit board is generally faulty, and the circuit board needs to be replaced.


The measurement error of metal tube rotameter is large.


1、 The installation does not meet the requirements. The vertical installation of metal tube rotameter shall be vertical, and the inclination angle shall not be greater than 20 degrees. The horizontal installation of metal tube rotameter shall be inclined, and the inclination angle shall not be greater than 20 degrees. There shall be no ferromagnetic objects in the 100mm space around the metal tube rotameter. The installation position shall be far away from the reducing port of the valve, the pump outlet, the turning port of the process pipeline, etc. Maintain the requirements of 250mm pipe section after the first 5D.


2. The large change of liquid medium density is also one of the reasons for the large error. Before calibration, the instrument is converted to the calibration state according to the medium density given by the user, and the water flow is used to calibrate the medium. Therefore, if the medium density changes too much, it will bring great errors to the calibration work. The solution method is to convert the formula of medium density changing with medium density into error correction coefficient, and then convert the flow measured by the flow tester multiplied by the coefficient into the actual flow.


3、 As the gas medium is greatly affected by temperature and pressure, it is recommended to use temperature and pressure compensation method to obtain the actual flow.


4. Due to long-term use, pipeline vibration and other factors, the magnetic components of metal tube rotameter are loose, such as pointer, counterweight and rotating magnetic steel, resulting in large measurement error. Answer: you can first press the pointer with your hand to confirm. First press the pointer on the RP to see if its output is 4mA and the flow display is 0%, and then verify it in proportional order. If inconsistencies are found, the position of the part can be adjusted. Professionals are usually required to adjust, otherwise the position will be lost, and it needs to be returned to the manufacturer for correction.
